Do I need a GP referral?

No referral needed for most appointments — you can book directly with a private GP, ultrasound, blood tests or many of our specialist services. A small number of consultant clinics prefer a referral letter, which our GPs can issue same-day if needed.

How quickly can I be seen?

Most private GP appointments are available the same day, including evenings and weekends. We're open seven days a week 9am–7pm at our Whitechapel clinic, serving patients across East London, the City of London, Aldgate and Liverpool Street.

Do you accept private medical insurance?

Many appointments are self-pay with an itemised invoice you can submit to Bupa, AXA, Vitality, Aviva or Cigna for reimbursement where applicable. Please contact our reception team to confirm your specific insurance arrangement before booking.

We're at 97-99 Whitechapel Road, London E1 1DT, in East London. Aldgate East is the closest station, just a few minutes' walk away. Dr Kemal Ismail Kemal is a clinical radiologist who studied medicine at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He then spent several years in surgical training, focusing on vascular surgery, during which he passed the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) examination, before changing his specialist interest to clinical radiology.

He completed specialist training in radiology in the UK in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) as well as a Master’s degree in Surgical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh. He is on the GMC Specialist Register (GMC number 7138474).

His work covers general ultrasound, including abdominal and testicular scanning, alongside a particular interest in musculoskeletal imaging — bone, joint and soft tissue — and diagnostic and image-guided procedures. Most consultations are 30–45 minutes for an initial assessment, shorter for follow-ups. You’ll be seen in a single appointment, with bloods, ECG or other tests (if needed) usually done on the same visit.
