A blood test doesn’t have to be traumatic. Our team is experienced with children of every age, uses numbing cream, and takes the time to keep your child calm — from babies to teenagers.
If your child is seriously unwell — call 999 or take them to A&E. We're a private outpatient service, not an emergency service. The Royal London Hospital (5 minutes' walk) has a paediatric A&E.
What we can test
How we keep it calm
Safety & consent
All our clinicians are trained in paediatric safeguarding (child protection) to the level their role requires, hold enhanced DBS checks, and work to national safeguarding guidance and our own safeguarding policy. If we are ever concerned about a child’s safety, we follow our safeguarding procedures and local child-protection pathways.
A parent or legal guardian with parental responsibility should attend with children under 16, and we ask for the child’s and parent’s ID at the first visit. Where a young person is judged able to understand and decide about their own care (Gillick competence), we involve them fully while encouraging parental support.
A chaperone is offered for any examination, at no charge, and your child’s dignity and privacy are respected throughout. We keep clear, confidential records.
With your consent, we share relevant information with your child’s NHS GP so their care stays joined up and safe. You can ask for a copy of any letter or result.
Being clear about our limits is part of keeping your child safe. If your child needs urgent or emergency care, please use 999, NHS 111 or A&E.
Fees
Consultation and assessment fees are set out on our price list, and any tests or treatments are explained and priced clearly before you go ahead — no surprises. Some services are priced on enquiry; just ask the clinic team.

Good to know
Any age, including babies — our team is experienced in infant and child phlebotomy and uses numbing cream and gentle techniques.
Numbing cream and an experienced, unhurried approach keep discomfort to a minimum. Most children cope far better than parents expect.
Most results are back within a few days; some are available the same or next day. A doctor reviews them and explains what they mean.
Yes — bring the request or list of tests and we’ll arrange them.
We’ll make it as calm and quick as possible — and explain the results clearly.
