This is GP-led care for common eye problems; we don’t provide full ophthalmology, cataract surgery or laser eye treatment (we refer for those). Sudden loss of vision, a serious eye injury, or severe eye pain with a headache is urgent — go to an eye casualty or call 999.

Safe, joined-up care
GMC-registered clinicians, CQC-registered clinic
You’re seen by GMC-registered clinicians at our CQC-registered Whitechapel clinic. We keep clear, confidential records and, with your consent, share a summary with your NHS GP so your care stays joined up. A chaperone is available for any examination on request, at no charge.
You don’t need to be registered with us, and private care complements — it doesn’t replace — being registered with an NHS GP.
What we don’t do here
- We are not an emergency service. For anything serious or life-threatening, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent advice any time, NHS 111 is available 24/7.
- We are an outpatient clinic and do not provide hospital admission or inpatient care.
- Private care and screening complement, and do not replace, being registered with an NHS GP or national NHS screening programmes.

Can you treat an eye infection today?
Yes — same-day assessment and treatment for common infections.
Do you do eye tests or glasses?
No — that’s an optician; we assess and treat eye problems and refer where needed.
Can you remove something from my eye?
Minor surface foreign bodies, yes; anything deeper or high-risk is referred urgently.
When should I go straight to eye casualty?
Sudden vision loss, a penetrating injury, or severe pain — don’t wait for an appointment.

Red, sore, sticky or itchy eyes are often caused by conjunctivitis, allergies, dry eye or a stye, and can usually be assessed by a private GP the same day. Our doctors examine the eye, advise on treatment and prescribe where clinically appropriate. A GP consultation is £140.
