Many joint problems can be assessed and started in a GP-led clinic, with the right tests arranged early — and where a specialist rheumatologist is needed, we refer you promptly with your results in hand, saving time.

You don’t have to work that out first. Book a private doctor assessment at Tower Bridge Hospital and one of our experienced doctors will take a full history, examine you, and — depending on your symptoms and clinical assessment — arrange appropriate initial investigations where they’re indicated. We then either manage the problem within primary care or arrange onward referral to the right specialist. Many tests can be done on-site: bloods, ultrasound, ECG, and heart-rhythm (Holter) and 24-hour blood-pressure monitoring, with clear results and a plan.

Can you diagnose arthritis?
We assess and arrange the right tests, and can start treatment; complex or inflammatory arthritis is referred to a rheumatologist.
Do you treat gout?
Yes — acute flares and long-term prevention, with the right blood tests.
What tests will I need?
Usually blood tests for inflammation and autoimmune markers, and sometimes imaging.
Will I see a specialist?
Where specialist management is needed, we refer you to a consultant rheumatologist with your results.
How much is a joint ultrasound?
A musculoskeletal ultrasound of one joint or area is £200 on our price list.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly with us. If you have a referral letter or previous results, bring them along — they help us avoid repeating tests.
