Long-term conditions · Reviews · Proactive care

Long-term conditions, proactively managed.

High blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, high cholesterol and thyroid conditions do best with regular, unhurried reviews. We monitor, adjust and support — so small problems don’t become big ones.

Not for emergencies. For anything serious or life-threatening — chest pain, breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms or heavy bleeding — call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent advice any time, NHS 111 is available 24/7.

Conditions we review

Long-term conditions, well controlled

  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes
  • Asthma and COPD
  • High cholesterol
  • Thyroid conditions
  • Other stable long-term conditions

What a review includes

More than a repeat prescription

  • A check of symptoms, control and medication
  • Blood pressure and relevant observations
  • Blood tests and monitoring as needed
  • Medication adjustment where appropriate
  • Lifestyle support — diet, activity, smoking
  • A written plan and your next review date

How it works

Proactive, not reactive

  1. An initial consultation to understand your condition and history.
  2. Tests and observations.
  3. A clear management plan.
  4. Scheduled reviews to keep things on track.
  5. With your consent, we keep your NHS GP informed.

Working together

Alongside your NHS GP

Joined-up care

This complements — and doesn’t replace — care from your NHS GP. For an acute flare, such as a severe asthma attack, seek urgent care or call 999.

Good to know

Safe, joined-up care

Every appointment is with a GMC-registered doctor

You’re seen at our CQC-registered Whitechapel clinic by a GMC-registered doctor. We keep clear, confidential records and, with your consent, send a summary to your NHS GP so your care stays joined up.

You don’t need to be registered with us, and a private appointment doesn’t replace being registered with an NHS GP. A chaperone is available for any examination on request, at no charge. We prescribe responsibly, in line with GMC guidance and antimicrobial stewardship.

What we don’t do here

  • We are not an emergency service. For anything serious or life-threatening — chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, heavy bleeding, a collapse — call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent-but-not-emergency advice, NHS 111 is available 24/7. The Royal London Hospital A&E is about 5 minutes’ walk away.
  • We are an outpatient clinic and do not provide hospital admission or inpatient care.
  • A private GP appointment complements, but does not replace, being registered with an NHS GP.
  • We only issue controlled medication after a proper assessment and appropriate checks — not on demand, and with shared care where relevant.

Being clear about our limits keeps you safe. For emergencies use 999 or A&E; for urgent advice, NHS 111.

Fees

Clear, up-front pricing

Consultation and assessment fees are set out on our price list, and any tests or treatments are explained and priced clearly before you go ahead — no surprises. Some services are priced on enquiry; just ask the clinic team.
