Acupuncture uses fine needles at specific points to ease pain and tension and support wellbeing. It’s a gentle, well-tolerated therapy that complements our physiotherapy and pain services — delivered by a regulated practitioner.
If your child is seriously unwell — call 999 or take them to A&E. We're a private outpatient service, not an emergency service. The Royal London Hospital (5 minutes' walk) has a paediatric A&E.
What it helps
Many people find acupuncture helpful for musculoskeletal pain and tension-related problems. Common reasons to try it include:
What to expect
Your practitioner takes a brief history, then places fine, sterile, single-use needles at chosen points; most people feel only a small sensation. You rest comfortably for around 20 minutes. A short course usually works better than a single session, and we’ll agree a plan with you.
Joined-up care
Acupuncture works well as part of a wider plan with physiotherapy and, where needed, our pain management service. We’ll always be honest about what it can and can’t do, and make sure anything needing medical assessment is looked at properly.
Good to know
You’re seen by GMC-registered clinicians at our CQC-registered Whitechapel clinic. We keep clear, confidential records and, with your consent, share a summary with your NHS GP so your care stays joined up. A chaperone is available for any examination on request, at no charge.
You don’t need to be registered with us, and private care complements — it doesn’t replace — being registered with an NHS GP.
Fees
Consultation and assessment fees are set out on our price list, and any tests or treatments are explained and priced clearly before you go ahead — no surprises. Some services are priced on enquiry; just ask the clinic team.

Yes, when performed by a trained, regulated practitioner using sterile single-use needles, as we do. Minor side effects like brief soreness or a small bruise are uncommon.
A short course usually works better than a one-off. We’ll suggest a plan based on your problem and review your response.
