NAD+ therapy, without the hype.

Intravenous NAD+ is an elective wellness infusion offered by some private clinics. We provide it responsibly — with an honest account of what the evidence does and does not support, an individual suitability assessment, and a careful, slow-infusion protocol.

Overview

What NAD+ is.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme present in every living cell. It is central to how cells produce energy and take part in repair and signalling processes. Because NAD+ biology intersects with metabolism and ageing research, it has become a popular wellness infusion — which is precisely why it deserves careful, honest framing rather than marketing. NAD+ is often marketed under the banner of “regenerative” or restorative wellness; we treat it as one optional, elective part of a personalised wellness approach — not a therapy with proven regenerative or anti-ageing outcomes. It sits alongside our IV vitamin therapy and broader longevity & wellness review, all delivered by clinicians.

The evidence

Established, and uncertain.

It is fair to say NAD+ is biologically important and an active area of research. It is not fair to say that IV NAD+ has been shown to reverse ageing, extend lifespan, detoxify the body, cure fatigue, boost immunity, repair DNA clinically, treat addiction, prevent dementia, or guarantee more energy. Much of the enthusiasm rests on laboratory and animal work; high-quality human evidence for those outcomes is not established.

We offer NAD+ as an elective wellness treatment, and we will be candid at consultation about which claims are supported and which are speculative. If you are looking for a guaranteed result, this is not that.

Why people consider it

The honest version.

People usually ask about NAD+ hoping for more energy, sharper focus or “anti-ageing” benefits. Some report feeling subjectively better after infusions; that experience is genuine for them, but it is not the same as proven clinical benefit, and expectation and placebo effects are known to be large in wellness treatments. You deserve to know that before you decide. If your real goal is a specific problem — persistent fatigue, low mood, poor sleep — a proper clinical assessment is a better starting point than an infusion, and we can arrange that instead of, or before, NAD+.

Suitability

Who it may suit.

NAD+ infusions may appeal to adults interested in an elective wellness infusion who understand the uncertain evidence and want it delivered safely and honestly. Suitability is assessed individually. It is not appropriate in pregnancy or breastfeeding and may be unsuitable with certain conditions or medicines.

Consultation & how it’s given

What’s involved.

Treatment begins with a consultation to review your health, discuss goals and expectations realistically, and confirm suitability, with baseline testing where indicated. NAD+ is then given by intravenous infusion. It must be run slowly — typically 90 to 180 minutes — and we allow extra time for cannulation, monitoring and rest, so plan for a relaxed half-day.

Safety

Side effects and precautions.

The characteristic effects during a NAD+ infusion are chest tightness, flushing or nausea if it is infused too quickly; the protocol controls these by running the infusion slowly and adjusting the rate to how you feel. Cannulation carries the usual minor risks of bruising or discomfort. Because NAD+ is given in clinic with monitoring, we can respond promptly to any symptoms.

It is not suitable in pregnancy or breastfeeding, and certain medical conditions or medicines may make it inappropriate — all reviewed at your consultation. Tell us your full history and medication list.

Protocol

Individualised, not packaged.

Where a course is appropriate it is often a loading phase of several infusions over a few weeks followed by occasional maintenance — but the schedule is decided individually with your clinician. We don’t sell fixed membership tiers or pressure you into courses.

FAQs

Common questions.

What is NAD+?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell that plays a central role in energy metabolism and cellular repair processes. Levels are the subject of active research into ageing and metabolism.

Does NAD+ reverse ageing or extend life?

No responsible clinic can claim that. Much of the excitement comes from laboratory and animal studies; robust human evidence for anti-ageing, lifespan or disease outcomes is not established. We offer NAD+ as an elective wellness infusion with that uncertainty stated plainly.

What does an infusion feel like?

NAD+ must be infused slowly — typically over 90–180 minutes — because infusing too quickly can cause chest tightness, flushing or nausea. Running it slowly controls this. Plan for a relaxed half-day.

Who should not have it?

Suitability is assessed individually. It is not appropriate in pregnancy or breastfeeding and may not be suitable with certain medical conditions or medicines. This is decided at consultation.

How many sessions?

Where a course is chosen, it is often a loading phase of several infusions over a few weeks followed by occasional maintenance — but we do not push fixed packages, and the plan is individual.
